Where is Baby’s Belly Button? is a favorite in our household and I have a feeling this one will soon be too! This book is most appropriate for children aged 4 years and under. Here are a few other Spring- and Easter-themed book options:
- Little Blue Truck’s Springtime

Preschool Egg Shape Sorter. Made by Small World Toys, this is a toy I’ve used for several years as an Early Intervention classroom teacher. It’s a great addition to any play kitchen or pretend food collection. Not only is this great for pretend play, it also incorporates fine motor skills, matching, shapes, and colors. The manufacturer recommends this toy for children ages 12 months – 4 years.
My First Palm Grip Crayons. Made by Crayola, these egg-shaped crayons are perfectly sized for little hands who are not quite ready to grasp a more standard crayon. Different color and package size options are available. The manufacturer recommends these crayons for children over the age of 12 months. Other great features: they are washable and longer-lasting (1 crayon is equivalent to 14 regular crayons!)
Melissa and Doug Drawing Pad. Offered as an Amazon add-on at only $2.99, this drawing pad is a great item to pair with your egg-shaped crayons. Here are some thematic coloring book and craft options for older children:
- Easter Eggs Coloring Book
- Magic Coloring Pad

These are great ideas – thanks for sharing. Miss S is only 5 months old so she really doesn’t need anything, but as her big sisters have little baskets, we made her one with a similar basket to yours and:
– book – The Story if the Easter Bunny
– pop-up book – Easter Croc
– pull along wooden crocodile
– glittery bunny ears and a cotton tail for our Easter photo shoot
The big sisters got a little candy but also a plush Easter bunny and some strawberry and sunflower pots/seeds to plant this spring
